Donald Trump's speech was interrupted after he was booed by a left-wing member of the Knesset, who was immediately evacuated by security forces.

The chairman of the Hadash-Ta'al alliance, Ayman Odeh, was removed from the Knesset floor after holding up a sign calling on US President Donald Trump to"recognize Palestine" during his speech.

Also, Ofer Cassif, a 60-year-old politician, was removed from the room by security agents after shouting at the US president.

"We apologize for the incident, Mr. President," the Knesset speaker told Trump.

"It was very effective," the American leader replied, as Knesset members chanted his name.
