President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine carried out Operation Spiderweb independently, without the help of partners.

The head of state stated this during a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Yesterday, Ukraine conducted an operation. We are grateful to our partners, but the operation (Web - ed.) was conducted independently," Zelensky said.

He emphasized that the goal of the operation was to hit the Russian military targets from where they launch strikes on Ukraine.

The President also noted that this is not the first operation of this type by Ukrainian special services.

Before that, there was a combat operation, a one-time one, at the same time 400 drones were hitting military equipment. By the way, more than 40 types of various equipment were also (hit - ed.): artillery, air defense, armored vehicles, tanks were destroyed in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, - said the President.

He also emphasized that we don't want to demonstrate our strength, we demonstrate it because the enemy doesn't want to stop.

And we demonstrate them fairly for military purposes, and we also demonstrate them not only to the Russian aggressors, but also to all our allies who were strong allies, but began to doubt. Trust in Ukrainians and faith in Ukraine have returned, the head of state stated.

As Ukrinform reported, on June 1, the Security Service of Ukraine conducted an unprecedented and unique special operation to simultaneously destroy four military airfields in the rear of the Russian Federation. According to the head of the SBU, Vasyl Malyuk, 41 aircraft were hit as a result of drone strikes, including A-50, Tu-95, Tu-22 M3, and Tu-160. In total, this means destroying 34% of strategic cruise missile carriers at the main airfields of the Russian Federation.
