Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised US President Donald Trump after the US military launched strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, stressing that"power comes first, then comes peace."

Netanyahu tweeted on Twitter: "President Trump and I often say 'peace through strength.' First comes strength, then comes peace. Tonight, President Donald Trump and the United States acted with great force." Netanyahu described the decision to strike Iranian facilities as strong and bold. Trump had announced that the US military would attack Iranian nuclear sites, including the Fordo facility. The decision to intervene directly comes more than a week after Israeli strikes on Iran aimed to systematically eliminate the country's air defenses and offensive missile capabilities, while also damaging its uranium enrichment facilities. These strikes are considered a risky decision for the United States, as Iran has vowed retaliation if it joins the Israeli attack, and for Trump personally, who won the White House on a promise to keep America is out of costly foreign conflicts. Trump told reporters on Friday that he was not interested in sending ground troops to Iran. He had previously indicated that he would make a final decision within two weeks, a timeline that seemed long given the rapidly evolving situation.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei warned the United States on Wednesday that strikes targeting the Islamic Republic"will cause irreparable damage to them." Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei declared that "any American intervention would be a recipe for all-out war in the region."
