A major Israeli attack has hit near the Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, eyewitnesses say. Panic and chaos have reportedly broken out at the hospital.

The hospital is the largest still operating in northern Gaza. It is not known if anyone was injured or killed in the attack, and if so, how many.
According to Al Jazeera, the attack created chaos and panic among patients and staff at the hospital.
The attack on Tuesday evening came shortly after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the military to carry out heavy attacks on the Gaza Strip.
The attack is justified by the fact that Hamas has committed a clear violation of the ceasefire.
Hamas, for its part, has accused Israel of 125 ceasefire violations and of killing 94 Palestinians since the ceasefire came into effect on October 10.
Gaza's Civil Defense announced on Tuesday evening that Israel had carried out at least three airstrikes against the Palestinian territory.
"The occupation forces have now bombed Gaza in at least three airstrikes despite the ceasefire agreement," Civil Defense spokesman Mahmud Bassal told AFP.
Eyewitnesses have said they heard several explosions.
