Ukrainian kamikaze drones, controlled by operators from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces, and the Special Operations Command, carried out a raid on the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery in the city of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Region, Russia.

This was reported to Ukrinform by a knowledgeable source in military intelligence.

According to the source, the attack took place on the night of November 4. More than five dozen Ukrainian-made drones, including the Bober and FP-1, were used during the operation.

Ukrainian drones attacked the refinery during repairs to a distillation column responsible for the primary processing of oil and damaged in previous attacks.

The destruction of the facility by Ukrainian drones was reported in a number of Russian public forums. Videos published by Russian users show a bright glow over the refinery, as well as explosions and subsequent fire at the facility.

The intelligence agency notes that Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez is one of the leading refineries in Russia: it supplies, in particular, the Moscow region, which accounts for about 30% of gasoline consumption in the country. The nominal capacity for primary oil processing is about 17 million tons per year.

The enterprise produces over 50 products: automotive, aviation and diesel fuel, as well as petroleum bitumen, paraffins, etc.

The refinery's products are actively used by Russian occupation forces and the enemy military-industrial complex.
