Rabat resonated on Friday evening with the sounds of Nidae Sawt Al Hassan, an iconic work by the late composer Fathallah Lamghari, which accompanied the 350,000 participants of the Green March in 1975 as they marched towards the southern provinces. In the packed Mohammed V Theatre, this artistic evening brought together a large audience to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of this pivotal event in the Kingdom's history. The show, conceived as a true theatrical tribute to the memory of the Green March, was punctuated by alternating musical and choreographic performances showcasing the diversity of the national artistic heritage. Between revivals of classic works, modern orchestrations, and choreographed tableaux, the program illustrated the organizers' desire to combine historical memory, contemporary expression, and the participation of creative youth.

Speaking at the event, Kenza Abourmane, Director General of Youth at the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, emphasized the symbolic significance of this initiative. “This celebration is unique because we are commemorating, with the Moroccan people and with the youth, the 50th anniversary of the glorious Green March,” she stated, stressing the intergenerational dimension of the event.

She added that this is a pivotal moment from which we, as young people, must learn lessons in order to contribute, at our level, to the overall development process that our country is experiencing. The ceremony, she continued, was distinguished by its warm atmosphere and the quality of the artistic performances, demonstrating the vitality of the Moroccan cultural scene.

The evening was also marked by the presentation of awards to young winners of the best short film competition, thus recognizing emerging talent in the field of cinema. This highlight sealed a gathering that was both festive and institutional, bringing together artists, public officials, and a large audience of young people, all united in a spirit of remembrance, creation, and national pride, concluded Kenza Abourmane.
