- At least 15 people were killed and more than three dozen injured in a shooting after two gunmen attacked a Jewish holiday event at Sydney's Bondi Beach on Sunday.
- Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese called the shooting an antisemitic terrorist attack. He said Monday authorities will do"whatever is necessary" to stamp out the "scourge" of antisemitism.
- Police said Monday the only suspects are a 50-year-old man, who was shot and killed by police, and his 24-year-old son, who is in critical but stable condition.
- Search warrants showed the 50-year-old man was a licensed firearms owner and has six firearms licensed to him, police said
- Two police officers were among the injured, New South Wales Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon said.
- Global Affairs Canada said it is not aware of any Canadian citizens impacted by the attack. Prime Minister Mark Carney said the government will"always stand with" Jewish Canadians.
