Former Donald Trump advisor John Bolton, one of the last supporters of the Polisario and described by the former US president as one of the stupidest people in Washington, had his Bethesda home raided by the FBI on Friday morning, reports New York Post.
Federal agents arrived at John Bolton's home at 7 a.m. as part of an investigation ordered by FBI Director Kash Patel, a Trump administration official said.

According to US officials quoted by the American press, this operation is the culmination of years of investigations into the alleged disclosure of classified information. The case dates back to 2020, when the Justice Department, then led by the Trump administration, opened an investigation into the revelations contained in Bolton's book, The Room Where It Happened.
At the time, Donald Trump condemned a book that would reveal state secrets and violate a confidentiality clause signed by Bolton. The Biden administration subsequently closed the case.
Bolton was not arrested or charged on Friday. But the scene, broadcast in images by news agencies, was striking: FBI vehicles parked outside his home, his wife, Gretchen Smith Bolton, photographed outside the residence, and agents entering his offices through a discreet entrance.
As if to defy this crackdown, Bolton's X account simultaneously posted a message criticizing Donald Trump and his policy on the war in Ukraine.

But this coincidence was not enough to distract attention from the reality: the self-proclaimed former Washington hawk, in the pay of the Algiers regime, long accustomed to wielding accusation and provocation, now finds himself in the position of the potential accused.
