247 - The Federal Police (PF) seized Jair Bolsonaro's (PL) new cell phone following an order from Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes, who also ordered the former president's house arrest. In a statement, the PF confirmed that it had executed house arrest warrants and search and seizure warrants for cell phones. Agents seized the iPhone during an operation carried out at Bolsonaro's home in Jardim Botânico, Brasília (DF).
Minister Alexandre de Moraes ordered house arrest after Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) posted a video of Jair Bolsonaro speaking on social media. The congressman deleted the post.
As part of the conditions imposed by the courts, Jair Bolsonaro is prohibited from accessing social media, either personally or through third parties. The former president also wears an electronic ankle bracelet and is required to remain under house arrest at specific times: from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Friday, and full-time on weekends and holidays.
Another court order prohibits any contact with diplomats or foreign authorities, including a ban on approaching embassies and consulates. These measures aim to prevent potential interference in ongoing investigations.
