The Chamber of Deputies rejected Javier Milei's veto of the law declaring the Disability Emergency and it has now been passed on to the Senate for consideration.

The opposition managed to gather two-thirds of the votes of those present, the requirement needed to move forward with the insistence on the law vetoed by Milei.

The project that declares the Disability Emergency at the national level does so for two years, until December 31, 2027. It proposes the regularization of payments and the updating of fees for service providers.

It also proposes a reform to the non-contributory pension system, strengthens the role of the National Disability Agency (ANDIS), and establishes mandatory employment quotas for people with disabilities.
