Ruler of Russia Vladimir Putin stated that he is ready to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky now, but there is a condition.

As Putin stated during communion with Russian propaganda media, a meeting with Zelenskyy may take place if the Ukrainian leader comes to Moscow.

"I have never refused this, if this meeting is well prepared and will lead to positive results. By the way, Donald (Trump - UNIAN) asked me to hold such a meeting. In the end, if Zelensky is ready - let him come to Moscow, such a meeting will take place," Putin said.

Putin also stated that the Ukrainian authorities should hold a referendum to resolve any territorial issues, but for this to happen, martial law must be lifted.

Regarding security guarantees for Ukraine, Putin said that Ukraine should receive them. However, this does not depend on the resolution of territorial issues, the dictator insists. Moreover, he cynically stated that Russia is supposedly fighting not for territories, but for"the right of a person to speak his own language, to live within the boundaries of his own culture."

In addition, Putin stated that"all of Russia's attempts to resolve the Ukrainian issue peacefully have been thwarted." According to him, Russia will never"look helplessly at what is happening nearby."

The dictator argues that Russia proposed to the Ukrainian authorities in 2022 to withdraw troops from the southeast and end the conflict. Today, it is possible to agree on an acceptable option for ending the conflict in Ukraine.

Putin called Zelenskyy the"acting head of the administration" of Ukraine, stating that the Constitution allegedly does not provide for any ways to extend the powers of the president of Ukraine.

If it is impossible to peacefully resolve the Ukrainian issue, Russia will have to solve the tasks set by armed means, Putin said. He added that Russia cannot relax on special operations.

Separately, the Russian leader stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are allegedly not capable of conducting large-scale military operations, but only hold the borders. Instead, he assures that all groups of the Russian Armed Forces are attacking in all directions.

According to Putin, combat operations are a complex and cruel thing, so predictions should not be made.

"Those who completely ignored Russia's security interests are to blame for the tragedy in Ukraine," Putin stressed, adding that he"sees peace at the end of the tunnel regarding the Ukrainian settlement."

Putin avoids peace talks

As UNIAN reported, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant said that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin deceived United States President Donald Trump and increased shelling of Ukraine after the meeting in Alaska. Therefore, according to him, Washington is considering all possible options for sanctions against Russia.

In August, the US president gave the Russian dictator"2-3 weeks" to make progress in peace talks with Ukraine. Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky intends to ask Donald Trump in the near future when exactly Those 2-3 weeks are flying by. .
