Last week, at least 19 Russian drones (new information says 21 drones) invaded Polish airspace, and Poland, supported by military aircraft of its NATO allies, shot down three drones. Parts of downed drones were found in various locations in eastern Poland, and the case of a destroyed house in the village of Wiriki Wola in the Lublin region came under scrutiny.

According to the Polish portal"Rzeczpospolita", the house was not destroyed by a Russian drone, but by a missile that tried to shoot it down, and it was fired from a Polish F-16 fighter plane.

The error was reportedly caused by a malfunction in the guidance system.

The woman ran away moments before the impact

While providing information about the destroyed house, the prosecutor's office in Lublin said that the damage was caused by an"unidentified flying object" that damaged the roof and penetrated the ceiling. The people in the house survived, and the owner of the property told the media that she was able to leave the bedroom just moments before the debris fell inside.

If it wasn't a drone, what destroyed the house in Wirika?" The prosecutor's office knows, but won't say," writes "Rzeczpospolita", adding that the remains of other drones were easily identified, but that the prosecutor's office in Lublin refuses to comment on what actually"fell" in Wirika.

The luck in the accident is that the rocket did not explode

In a short statement, it was stated that"the object is currently not identified as a drone or fragments of a drone".

- At this moment, I cannot say with certainty what fell on the house in Virika. This is under investigation and we are waiting for the opinions of experts - says Agnješka Kepka from the District Prosecutor's Office in Lublin.

"Ržečpospolita" claims that they have information coming from key state security agencies and that the rocket fell on the house.

- It is an AIM-120 AMRAAM missile from our F-16, which experienced a guidance system failure in flight and did not activate, and fortunately, it did not explode because the safety devices were activated - one of the sources points out.
