Ukraine claims attack on Russian airfield containing glider bombs
The Ukrainian military says it has attacked a Russian military airport, hitting a building that was used to store glider bombs and a training aircraft.
The attack on the air base in Borisoglebsk was the work of special forces, the armed forces reported on Telegram. The post also states that more planes were probably hit, without giving further details. The air base is said to be a base for various types of fighter jets. The post includes a photo that supposedly shows the burning air base.
Governor Alexander Gusev of the Voronezh region, where Borisoglebsk is located, reported on Telegram that 25 drones were shot down during the night from Friday to Saturday, and that a power line was temporarily out of order. He said nothing about an attack on the airport.
