Iran has called the resumption of nuclear tests announced by US President Donald Trump"irresponsible" and stressed that it is a "threat to peace", Agence France-Presse reported.

"The announced resumption of nuclear tests is a regressive and irresponsible measure that poses a serious threat to international peace and security. The world must unite to hold the US accountable for normalizing the spread of these abominable weapons," Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote on the social network "Ex" last night.

At a time when Iran is suspected by the West and Israel of secretly developing nuclear weapons, although it denies it, the minister said that the US"is the most dangerous proliferation risk in the world," BTA pointed out.
