Newsreader Sahar Emami was just talking about the first impact on the state broadcaster's building when a second explosion occurred. Screams and panic from employees can be heard. Shortly after the explosions, the broadcast was interrupted. A short while later, Emami reappeared and resumed the broadcast, apparently from another location in the studio.

An hour before the attack, the Israeli army had issued a warning to leave the Tehran neighborhood where the state broadcaster is located. Iranian state television said “a number” of its employees were killed in the attack. The exact number of casualties is unclear.
