The journalist noted that there was no real peace treaty after the Korean War, but South Korea prospered.

"This is an example that shows that values have won. The development of South Korea is incomparable to the development of North Korea, where we are witnessing real economic and civilizational decline. I'm not even talking about people, but about infrastructure, economy and development. South Korea has made a leap forward in the development of civilization, technology and economy because it cultivates humanism. The most important thing for the state: to focus on people," he said.

Zelenskyy answered the question about whether such a scenario is possible in Ukraine.

"I tell you, anything is possible. It is worth noting that South Korea has a reliable ally: the United States of America, which will not allow North Korea to take control. So everything is relative: South Koreans still face risks. Their economy is thriving, and they are under the protection of the alliance, but as long as North Korea remains what it is, as long as the character of its leadership remains unchanged, South Korea will not be completely safe. And, believe me, they have numerous air defense systems that guarantee its security," the president noted.

According to him, Ukraine is determined to receive reliable security guarantees, for example, the Patriot systems that South Korea has. He added:

"However, the comparison with South Korea has its limits: North Korea's population is just over 20 million, while Russia's is over 140 million. It is impossible to compare the scale of these threats. The threats from Russia are five, six, or even ten times greater. An exact copy of the South Korean model is probably not suitable for Ukraine from a security point of view. On the other hand, its economic model is a good example."

War in Ukraine - Zelensky's position
