"We are working to stop the bloodshed in Ukraine. And to achieve a just and lasting peace," the head of the European Commission emphasized.
As Ukrinform reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Washington.
Zelensky and US President Donald Trump are scheduled to meet in the Oval Office today. European leaders are also expected to visit the White House to discuss options for ending the war in Ukraine.
Yesterday, French President Emmanuel Macron reported on the main aspects discussed at the Coalition of the Willing videoconference with the participation of European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the eve of the meeting in Washington.
Macron noted that they spoke for a little over two hours about the priorities they plan to discuss during their meeting with President Trump.
According to him, they want to remind Trump of what unites the US, Ukraine, and the EU, citing their shared desire for peace and for Russia to respect international law and territorial sovereignty.
