US President Donald Trump called the meeting of the American delegation consisting of Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner with the Russian leader, which took place on Tuesday in Moscow, a good one.

He told reporters about this on Wednesday during an event in the Oval Office, Ukrinform's own correspondent reports.

"I can say that they had a pretty good meeting with President Putin," Trump said.

He confirmed that he had discussed the results of the talks with Witkoff and Kushner the previous day. According to him, the American delegation had the impression that Putin really wanted to make a deal.

"I think he (the Russian leader - ed.) would like to go back to normal life, I think he would like to trade with the United States," Trump said.
