There was an accident in front of the school in which one of the students was injured with a knife.

An accident occurred at the Bedkovčina High School in Zagorje, Croatia, in which one of the students was injured. According to unofficial information from the 24sata.hr portal, there was a scuffle between two boys. One of them accidentally pushed a bag and stabbed the other student in the ribs. The girl is said to be 17 years old.

Two professors, both registered nurses, came to the aid of the stabbed student. They kept the student alive until the paramedics arrived. The paramedics connected the boy to an IV and stabilized him until the helicopter arrived, which took him to the Zagreb Clinical Center.

According to 24sata, the child was conscious. Doctors are said to have operated on him and he is out of danger.

The police confirmed that the scene of the incident and the investigation into the incident are still ongoing.

Journalists from the Zagorje.com portal spoke with the father of the student who injured his friend."We received information from the parents that they were fighting and that the knife flew out of his bag," said the father. According to him, the injured student and his son are friends and that his son would never do this intentionally.

School principal Vera Hrvoj said that they had Bread Days at school today. The unfortunate incident occurred after the activity had ended."The student was injured, they provided him with first aid, called an ambulance and took him to the hospital. Parents were informed about everything, classes are going on as scheduled, students are safe at school and there are no problems. We are waiting for further information from the hospital, we are in constant contact with the parents and we hope that everything will be fine with our student," she said.
