Mexico City. The United Nations special rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, denounced that after President Donald Trump's announcement that Israel and Hamas reached an agreement on the first phase of their peace plan, Benjamin Netanyahu's regime continues its bombing of the Gaza Strip.

“‘Ceasefire,’ in the Israeli dictionary: you stop, I shoot. Just hours after the agreement – just like in January – Israel is shooting at Palestinians waiting to return to their homes. Before taking any further steps, member states must ensure that Israel respects the ceasefire,” he wrote on his X social media account.

In his post, Albanese asserted: “The call to demilitarize and deradicalize Gaza... in the name of Israel’s security. Where is the security of Palestinians, who have been relentlessly attacked for decades... where is the demilitarization and deradicalization of Israeli society?”
