A fire broke out in the refinery after the attack, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced today.

In a post on Facebook, the Ministry of Ukraine states that units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine also targeted the infrastructure of the Ryazan Oil Refinery in Russia's Ryazan Oblast last night, reports Ukrinform.

The announcement states that the targets were hit and that the low-temperature isomerization unit of that refinery was damaged.

The Ryazan refinery, with a projected capacity of 17.1 million tons of oil per year, is one of the largest oil refiners in Russia, and supplies jet fuel and diesel to the Russian armed forces.
