Putin's Threats and Warnings

Ukraine will continue to respond with its own strikes against Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy As an UNIAN correspondent reports, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this at a joint press conference with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in Uzhhorod.

Thus, the head of state answered a journalist's question about Putin's calls for Europe to impose an energy blockade on Ukraine.

"As for the energy blockade, we didn't talk about it. I don't even know. I heard from you that there was such a signal in the media from Putin. By the way, if you look at it logically, if a person wants to end the war, then, probably, he will not ask Ukraine's partners or neighbors to impose an energy blockade," Zelenskyy emphasized.

The head of state explained that in this way Putin"wants to attack our energy sector."

According to Zelensky, Putin understands that Ukraine protects its energy infrastructure as best it can, and also imports electricity according to European Union rules when there is a deficit.

"And he understands that if you block this process, which is impossible, I believe, if you live by the law... Even though there is a deficit in the law in Russia, nevertheless, today it is impossible to do this. We are protected by air defense systems, and he constantly wants to make these blockades," Zelensky said.

The President of Ukraine added that Ukraine is very grateful to Slovakia for importing electricity to our country in times of shortage.

Zelensky considers Russia's violation of the energy blockade of Ukraine to be a problem.

"We certainly do not put much pressure on Russia to think about ending the war. Pressure can only be united from all partners in Europe and from the United States of America," Zelensky noted.

As the President of Ukraine noted, the President of the United States Donald Trump directly states that Europe should stop receiving energy resources from Russia, because Russia is fighting with Ukraine at the expense of the received funds.

Zelensky also noted that a meeting of the intergovernmental commission of Ukraine and Slovakia will take place on October 20.

"Our government officials will be absolutely constructive. We are ready to have joint energy projects. We are ready to supply gas and oil to the territory of Slovakia. And I told the Prime Minister frankly - if it is not Russian gas, if it is not Russian oil, because we have a war," Zelensky stressed.

At the same time, as the head of state emphasized, there are other projects, including alternatives to Russian energy carriers."We know enough alternatives, projects. We are ready to work," Zelenskyy said.

In addition, according to him, if there were no difficulties in Ukraine due to Russian attacks on the energy sector, Ukraine would always have a surplus of electricity at any time of the year. Ukraine has always wanted to help other countries, and even during the war it helped Moldova.

"Ukraine is responding to Russian attacks on our energy facilities, and will respond. But we really want this war to end. But no one will simply suffer in the dark," Zelensky stressed.

Putin called on Europe to impose an energy blockade on Ukraine

As UNIAN reported, during a visit to China, in a conversation with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, Putin emphasized that Ukraine receives electricity and gas from Europe, so in response to Ukrainian attacks on the Druzhba oil pipeline, Ukraine's neighbors could block energy supplies to Ukraine Putin also claimed that Russia did not attack Ukraine's energy sector and was allegedly forced to launch these attacks in response to Ukraine's attacks.

The Center for Countering Disinformation in Ukraine drew attention to Putin's lie that Russia allegedly did not strike at Ukrainian energy, but only strikes in response to Ukraine's attacks on Russia's oil industry. According to the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, the Russian dictator is preparing an information alibi to justify energy terror against Ukraine.
