“Let’s wait for their offer regarding a global and large deal, as they know how to talk about it. They like these big deals. We are ready for that. We are ready to make a deal with them. However, on one side of the scale are their questions, requests and demands, and on the other side – our questions and demands. Shall we solve it? Please. We are ready. I appreciate the offers of US President Donald Trump, but our interests must be taken into account. Everything must be fair – the way we agreed with the Americans sometime ago,” said Lukashenko.

Lukashenko also believes that the Americans supposedly see"the role of Belarus in the peace process in Ukraine."

"I believe that Belarus, as Russia's closest ally, has a certain role to play in resolving the Ukrainian crisis, as well as in building a new regional security architecture. The Americans have already seen us in this process. We have specific capabilities and potential. If the Americans want to resolve this conflict in Ukraine and see us playing some small role in it, we are ready to get involved," Lukashenko cynically stated.

He added that Belarus “has long and repeatedly emphasized the need for a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian conflict.”

"We have expressed our position: peace, peace and only peace. Ukraine must exist as a sovereign and independent state. We are for the war to be stopped now, otherwise this independent state will disappear. Moreover, some are already looking at the western regions of Ukraine," Lukashenko pointed out.

Reuters previously reported that Belarus has increased fuel exports to Russia several times, which is struggling with a significant fuel deficit. Belarus has also actively supported Russia since the beginning of its invasion of Ukraine, providing its territory as a springboard for aggression against Ukraine.
