The World's Current Take

Russia can launch up to 400 naval drones simultaneously against Ukraine's maritime infrastructure, as it does during mass attacks by"Shaheds" on Ukrainian settlements. This is warned by electronic warfare expert Sergey"Flash" Beskrestnov in his telegram channel.

According to him, the elite Russian center for unmanned systems"Rubikon" has adopted unmanned attack boats. They have already conducted training, tested scenarios and are working on improvements, and the main task of these drones is to strike Ukrainian maritime infrastructure.

"Flash" explained that now the Russians can strike, for example, 400 boats in one day at all Ukrainian ports, rigs, ships - all maritime infrastructure. These drones, filled with fragmentation munitions, can even fly on the beach.

"With this post, I draw attention to the emergence of a new threat. Anyone who knows what Rubicon is understands that everything will be serious. So that we don't sigh and gasp, we need to develop systems for searching for attack boats and destroying them. FPVs are successfully coping with these tasks. The main thing is organization," the expert noted.

Russian strike drones: latest news

As UNIAN previously reported, the Russians have recently been using Lightning strike drones , capable of covering distances of up to 40 km, in order to terrorize the civilian population. Aviation expert Anatoly Khrapchinsky explained how dangerous they are. He compared them to the"Shaheds", noting that the latter pose a greater threat. Khrapchinsky added that the"Molniya" is not a new drone, but the enemy is actively scaling and modernizing it.

It also became known about the use of Shahed jets by the enemy. It is these drones, according to the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko, Russia could have struck Kyiv"July 31. Experts are now counting how many Shahed jets there were," the minister said.

Aviation expert Valeriy Romanenko explained, What is the main problem with the Shahed jets? and how to deal with them. According to him, they are difficult for mobile machine gun groups to shoot down because of the high speed of drones. In his opinion, mobile groups armed with portable anti-aircraft missile systems (MANPADS), which are fired from a person's shoulder, can successfully work against these UAVs. Among them, for example, the American Stinger, the Polish Piorun and even the old Soviet"Igla".
