Hamas leader Osama Hamdan said that the Gaza agreement includes the release of the Israeli detainees whose names appear on the list, whether alive or dead.

During an interview on Al-Arabiya TV on Thursday, he added that the agreement calls for the release of 250 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences and 1,700 prisoners from Gaza.

Regarding the possibility of releasing Marwan Barghouti and Ahmed Saadat, he replied:"We have placed the names of all the leaders on the list of prisoners to be released, and according to the agreement reached in January of this year, releases will be made according to seniority and sentences."

Israel and Hamas reached an agreement on the first phase of Trump's Gaza plan, which includes a ceasefire and the release of hostages, potentially paving the way for an end to the bloody two-year war.

Indirect talks hosted by Egypt resulted in an agreement on the first phase of Trump's proposed 20-point framework aimed at bringing peace to the Gaza Strip.

Trump said in a post on Truth Social:"I am proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of our peace plan."

He added that this means that all hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw its forces to an agreed-upon line as first steps toward a strong, lasting, and sustainable peace.

For his part, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement,"With God's help, we will bring them all home," referring to the hostages held by Hamas. He added that he would hold a cabinet meeting on Thursday to approve the agreement.

Hamas confirmed that it had reached an agreement to end the war, saying that the agreement stipulates an end to the war on Gaza, the withdrawal of the occupation forces from the Gaza Strip, the entry of aid, and a prisoner exchange.

She added:"We call on President Trump, the guarantor states of the agreement, and various Arab, Islamic, and international parties to compel the occupation government to fully implement the agreement's requirements and not allow it to evade or delay implementation of what has been agreed upon."
