Reuters - U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that the United States and the European Union have reached a trade agreement that includes a 15% tariff on goods exported by the EU to the United States, as well as significant purchases of American energy and military equipment by the European bloc.
The agreement also provides for US$600 billion in investments from the European Union in the US, he told reporters.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the agreement includes 15% tariffs across all sectors, saying the measure should help rebalance trade between the two major trading partners.
