Israel hit the Iranian state television building after it announced that it would launch attacks on civilian settlements in Iran.

Iran Radio and Television Corporation (IRIB) announced that its buildings in the capital Tehran were targeted by Israel.

Footage shared on social media showed the attack took place during a programme broadcast on state television.

The attack, which was carried out while the female newsreader was on live broadcast reacting to Israel's attacks, caused serious damage to the studio.

The footage also shows the moment of the explosion and the interruption of the broadcast stream.

IRAN PUBLISHED IMAGES

Iran Radio and Television Corporation (IRIB) has released images of a fire that broke out in its building in the capital Tehran, which was targeted in the Israeli attack.

Live footage showed that the fire that started after the attack had engulfed a large part of the building.

Iranian state television broadcasted these images with the caption"Enemy attack on some sections of IRIB".

Shortly before the attack, the Israeli army announced that it would attack Tehran's third district and later announced that it would target state television.

Then, an attack was carried out during a live broadcast on Iranian state television, and the broadcast was cut off for a short time.

THE ISRAELI MINISTER ANNOUNCED

According to local media reports, Katz made the written statement following the Israeli army's alleged"evacuation order" to forcibly displace local residents from "area number 3" in Tehran.

Hinting that they would target IRIB, Katz said,"The Iranian propaganda and incitement organization is on its way to disappearing."

The Israeli army, which has forcibly displaced thousands of people in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, issued a so-called"evacuation order" for an area in Tehran for the first time since launching attacks against Iran on June 13.

Israeli Army Spokesperson Avichay Adraee, in a statement he made on his X account, shared a map and asked those living and staying in"area 3" in Tehran to leave these areas.

THE CONFLICT THAT STARTED WITH ISRAEL’S VIOLENT ATTACKS ON IRAN

On June 13, Israel launched large-scale attacks targeting nuclear facilities in various cities in Iran, as well as the military's high command.

While the Chief of the Iranian General Staff, the Commander-in-Chief of the Revolutionary Guards, some senior commanders and 9 nuclear scientists lost their lives in the attacks, the total civilian loss of life was announced as 224.

It was reported that 24 people were killed and more than 500 people were injured in the Iranian army's retaliation against Israel with ballistic missiles.

Many countries, especially Türkiye, condemned Israel.
