Two assailants opened fire on pedestrians on the street, killing five people and injuring at least 15. Fortunately, brave bystanders and security personnel"subdued" the two gunmen shortly after the incident. A large number of police forces are currently maintaining law and order in the area. The shooting reportedly took place at a major intersection at Jerusalem's northern entrance, which leads to a Jewish settlement in East Jerusalem. Information and videos posted on social media indicate that two gunmen launched the attack, suddenly opening fire on pedestrians on the street. Police revealed that"two gunmen opened fire in the Jaffa neighborhood of Tel Aviv, directly into a light rail car packed with passengers at a station." Initial reports said at least 15 people were injured, six of them seriously. Five people have now been confirmed dead.

According to the Israeli Red David Shield emergency services, the dead included a man in his 50s and three men in their 30s.
