It was Sunday night that the United States struck three Iranian nuclear facilities – Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan.

According to US President Donald Trump, the Fordow facility was"completely wiped out" in the attack, which he described as a great success.

Now the satellite company Planet labs has published new satellite images from Fordow, which have been analyzed by the AP news agency.

It shows how the entrances have been damaged and also appears to show damage to the rock, where the facility is located at a depth of nearly a hundred meters.

If the entrances have been completely destroyed, it means that Iran first have to dig in to access anything at all that is buried in the rock, notes AP.

The images show smoke rising and the mountain itself changing color from brown to gray, suggesting an explosion has thrown up debris, the news agency writes.

Powerful bunker bomb

The New York Times has reported that several B-2 bombers participated in the attack and that a full load of bombs was dropped over Fordow.

Only the United States has bombs of the type that can strike such a deep-seated facility. The bomb, the GBU-57, was developed specifically to destroy underground bunkers, weighs over 13 tons and can carry 2.7 tons of explosives.

Iran's anger

Iran has reacted with anger, accusing the US of"blowing up diplomacy."

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi writes on X that the action is "extremely dangerous" and that the country considers itself to have the right to respond in accordance with the UN Charter.

During the night, there were also new Iranian missile attacks on Israel, at the same time as the Israeli military struck Iranian targets.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres warns of a"spiral of chaos" after the attack.

" The only way forward is diplomacy. The only hope is peace. ”, he writes on X.
