Bayern's Performance

Alphonso Davies is currently out of the Bayern squad, unable to play due to a torn cruciate ligament. He watched his teammate Jamal Musiala's horrific injury in the Club World Cup quarterfinal against PSG on his live stream online and was completely horrified.

Davies streams the game in a Bayern jersey, supporting his team at least virtually.

Then the shocking scene: Musiala is caught squarely by PSG goalkeeper Donnarumma in first-half stoppage time, twisting his left foot. It's immediately clear: It's a horrific injury. Referee Taylor blows his whistle for halftime, and teammates and opponents are completely shocked. Musiala is carried off on a stretcher. According to information from the German Press Agency, Musiala is suspected of having a broken leg.

Davies, watching the scene on the live stream, throws his hands up in the air and drops to his knees. The Canadian, horrified, exclaims:"No! Please don't! Please, please don't."

The left-back is worried about his teammate and can't believe it.

After the injury, Davies initially paused the stream out of shock, but then resumed it.

Davies is currently out following his cruciate ligament tear and cartilage damage on March 23. If all goes according to plan, the Canadian could return to action in November. That would mean a total absence of eight months! Asked by BILD at the beginning of June when he would like to return to team training, Davies revealed:"In November, hopefully. That's the plan."

In February, Bayern extended Davies’ contract until 2030.
