The President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić said yesterday in an address to the citizens that today, on the anniversary of the fall of the canopy in Novi Sad, he will go to the church and light a candle for each of the 16 victims of that tragedy and called on all people to do the same, as well as to show respect for them and each other, and for the day to pass peacefully.

- Tomorrow, November 1, I will go to church to pray to God, to light a candle for each of them. I invite people to do the same, and I know that many of you want it - said Vučić.

He asked everyone to show respect for the victims and their families and for each other.

Patriarch Porfirije in the Church of St. Sava in Vračar held a memorial service for the victims at the Railway Station in Novi Sad.
