When Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrives in Washington and meets with United States President Donald Trump, issues of peace will not be addressed, said Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) professor Gintautas Mažeikis. In his opinion, the war can only be stopped if European countries, together with the United States, decide to deploy military forces in Ukraine and take control of the airspace. Until this decision is made, negotiations are possible on the terms of surrender and capitulation, during which the fate of V. Zelensky himself will be decided.
