Trump's Disappointment with Putin

According to Czech Television's US correspondent Bohumil Vostal, Monday's briefing marks a change in Trump's stance."There was a sense in the White House that Donald Trump was aware of how big a turnaround this was. That's why he said, 'Putin fooled (former US President Bill) Clinton, (George W.) Bush, (Barack) Obama, (Joe) Biden, but not me.' It was Donald Trump who, after taking office in the Oval Office, chose a negotiating tactic, in which Washington refused to acknowledge that Russia was the aggressor," the correspondent explained.

Now, according to Vostal, the American president has changed his stance."He is selling it to American voters as a very profitable business for America, because the latest weapons for billions of dollars will be paid for by rich European nations. Last year, during the campaign, Trump said that he would end the Russian war within 24 hours. But as he found out, negotiations with Putin, whom he refused to call a killer today (Monday), unlike his predecessor, were much more complicated than he imagined," Vostal summarized.
