Iran's Revolutionary Guards confirmed on Monday their readiness for a long war against Israel, noting that they have not yet used their missile capabilities strategically.
Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, an advisor to the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, said that Tehran is prepared for a long and comprehensive war, noting that new innovations will soon be introduced to the field, according to Tasnim News Agency.
He added in statements to the agency: We studied all possibilities and prepared ourselves for any circumstances in the war.
Commenting on Israeli claims about reducing Iran's missile stockpile, he responded by saying that Tehran has not yet sufficiently utilized its missile capabilities strategically.
He pointed out that Iran intends to introduce its modern equipment into the field whenever it deems it appropriate, noting the possibility of using new missiles.
He continued:"In the near future, everyone will see the capabilities and strength of the Iranian armed forces in various fields."
Respond more forcefully
In turn, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said today that his country will respond with greater force if the United States does not rein in Israel, according to IRNA news agency.
The confrontations between Israel and Iran entered their fourth day after Israel launched Operation Rising Lion on the night of June 13 against Iran's nuclear program, bombing military sites, as well as nuclear facilities, police buildings, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the capital, Tehran.
It also assassinated dozens of senior military leaders, as well as nuclear scientists.
