President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Brussels - they discussed protecting Ukrainian energy from Russian attacks.

As Ukrinform reports, the head of state announced this on Telegram.

According to Zelensky, they talked about how to protect our energy sector from Russian attacks and make it more resilient. Italy has the appropriate expertise and equipment.

Separately, they talked about joint defense projects within the framework of the SAFE program. It is important that such initiatives work for the benefit of all of Europe, - the President noted.

They also raised the important topic of using frozen Russian assets. It is only fair that these funds be directed to support and defend Ukraine, Zelensky added.
