As announced in PSG's latest medical update, the Atlas Lion is undergoing rehabilitation and is working hard to be ready for the start of the African football championship. To this end, the captain of the national team is preparing to return to Morocco to finalize his fitness.

According to Fabrice Hawkins, a journalist at RMC, the captain of the national team will travel to Morocco to continue his rehabilitation and prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations. A member of PSG's medical staff will accompany him to monitor his progress. The aim is for the Moroccan player to be available for selection for PSG as soon as he returns from the Africa Cup of Nations.

He adds on his X account that the medical staff of the Moroccan national team and that of Paris Saint-Germain are working closely together to get the right-back ready without taking any risks.

Achraf Hakimi made his return to the pitch at Camp des Loges, Paris Saint-Germain's training center, a few days ago. The Atlas Lion trained there alone, intensifying his running and drills.

As a reminder, Achraf Hakimi suffered a severe sprain to his left ankle after a tackle by Luis Diaz on Tuesday, November 4, during the match between PSG and Bayern Munich (1-2) in the UEFA Champions League.

The player then began a rigorous rehabilitation program, including 5 to 6 hours of physiotherapy sessions per day in France, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Achraf Hakimi is taken off the pitch after sustaining an injury during the Champions League group stage match between PSG and FC Bayern Munich, played at the Parc des Princes on November 4, 2025. AFP
