According to the Israeli state television channel KAN, despite the ceasefire, the Israeli army launched airstrikes on the Rafah region in southern Gaza.

The Israeli army claimed that Hamas opened fire on Israeli"engineering elements" in the area.

Following the incident, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz will reportedly assess the situation with Chief of General Staff Eyal Zamir and the staff.

CALL FOR A FULL-FORCE ATTACK FROM THE FAR-RIGHT

Israeli National Security Minister, the far-right Itamar Ben-Gvir, called on the Prime Minister to"order the army to fully resume the war in Gaza with maximum force" in a post on the US-based social media platform X.

Ben-Gvir claimed that Hamas had violated the agreement and was"a danger to Israel's security."

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich shared a single word,"war," on the social media account of the American company X.

Similarly, Avigdor Liberman, leader of the opposition Israel's Home Party, claimed in a post on the US-based X social media platform that Hamas had violated the ceasefire and argued that it should be responded to with"force and an iron wall."

INSTRUCTIONS FROM NETANYAHU

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly ordered a "harsh intervention" in the Gaza Strip, citing Hamas's alleged violations of the ceasefire agreement.

In a statement, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office reported that Netanyahu held consultations with Defense Minister Yisrael Katz and security officials.

It was reported that following consultations, Netanyahu ordered a harsh intervention in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli state television channel KAN, citing security officials, also reported that new attacks would be carried out on Gaza.

"We are preparing to increase the pace of attacks in Gaza. Tensions will escalate," the Israeli official said.

"HAMAS WILL PAY A HEAVY PRICE" THREAT

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz claimed that Hamas violated the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in Gaza and threatened that "Hamas will pay a heavy price."

Katz said in a statement that "Hamas will learn the hard way that Israel is determined to protect its soldiers and prevent them from coming to harm."

Katz, reminding the Israeli army that they had instructed it to"act harshly" against "targets" in Gaza, said,"Hamas will pay a heavy price for every shooting and ceasefire violation, and if the message is not understood, the reactions will intensify."

The Israeli army, in a statement, said that the Israeli army opened fire on the Rafah district in the southern Gaza Strip. In response, the army launched attacks in the area.

STATEMENT FROM HAMAS

While Hamas emphasized that it remained committed to the ceasefire agreement reached with Israel, it stated that Israel was violating the agreement, making excuses, and evading its responsibilities.

Hamas leader Izzat al-Rishq, in a written statement, emphasized that Israel is constantly violating the ceasefire agreement and making excuses to legitimize its own crimes.

Rishk stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s efforts to evade his obligations were made under pressure from the far-right coalition and described these attempts as Israel’s attempt to evade its responsibilities before the mediators and guarantors.

According to the ceasefire agreement reached on October 10, the Israeli army withdrew to the areas called the"yellow line" within Gaza.

Rafah, a district in southern Gaza that has been almost flattened by Israeli destruction, lies within the"yellow line" area where the Israeli army is stationed.

Social media posts by the gangs in Gaza, led by Yasir Abu Shabab and armed by Israel, indicated that they were in the Rafah region of Gaza.
