US leader Donald Trump during his first presidential term imposed the largest number of sanctions against the Russian Federation at that time. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin to journalists, quoted by Izvestia.
"Now, as for the new sanctions, first of all, there is nothing new here. Yes, they are serious for us, of course, this is understandable and will have certain consequences, but they will not significantly affect our economic well-being," Putin stressed.

He added that the sanctions have two aspects: purely political and economic.

"Focus" recalls that the US Treasury Department announced that the US is imposing sanctions against the Russian oil companies Rosneft and Lukoil.
