The Ukrainian flag is a goal and a dream for people temporarily occupied territories. They know that Ukraine will not give its land to the occupier. About this declared President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a solemn event on the occasion of National Flag Day.

"This flag is a feeling of salvation for the people we are returning from Russian captivity. When they see the Ukrainian colors, they understand: evil is over. And this flag is a goal and a dream for many of our people in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. They protect this flag. They protect it because they know: we will not give our land to the occupier," the President of Ukraine said.

According to him, Ukraine unites the best, and it has already made it a common opinion among many that only together with Ukraine can guaranteed security for democratic nations be achieved.

"May everyone who has made their own contribution to such a force of Ukrainian colors hear these words of gratitude today. This is absolutely deserved. I want to thank everyone and everyone who fights for our state and people today," the head of state added.
