SYRIAN PRESIDENCY CONDEMNS VIOLATIONS IN SWEIDAH

The statement conveyed that the state has adopted the preservation of security and stability as its primary goal, and that a comprehensive investigation into the events is ongoing and that all necessary legal steps will be taken.
The statement emphasized that the rights of the people of Sweida will always be protected and that no party will be allowed to threaten the security and stability in the region.

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz shared the live broadcast of the attack on the General Staff building in Damascus, saying,"The painful blows have begun."
In his post from his X account, Katz published an image of one of the attacks carried out by the Israeli army on Damascus, the capital of Syria.
The footage showed the General Staff Headquarters being hit in the background while a news bulletin was being broadcast on Syrian television, and the announcer was seen trying to protect himself after hearing the explosion and leaving the broadcast.
Katz shared the footage with the caption,"The painful blows have begun." Following Katz's statements, the Israeli army launched an assault on Daraa.
The Syrian Ministry of Health announced that one person was killed and 18 people were injured in Israeli airstrikes on Damascus.
