There are further reports of the United States significantly increasing its military presence in the Middle East. 

On Saturday, the X Open Source Intelligence Monitor published a satellite image that is said to show the Prince Sultan military base in Saudi Arabia. The photograph was taken on Thursday.

According to expert calculations, there are 54 multi-role F-16 , 22 flying tankers KC-135 and 11 transport C-130 at the airport located on the western coast of Saudi Arabia.

Additional machines will also be stationed at the base, both on the airport apron itself and in hangars.

The Israeli daily Haaretz reported that two to four B-2 bombers, which are capable of carrying bombs that Israel estimates could destroy Iran's fortified Fordo nuclear site, took off Saturday morning from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri.

The planes, accompanied by four tankers, are heading west toward the Guam naval base in the Pacific Ocean, it added.

It is unclear whether they are to continue their flight to the naval support base in Diego Garcia, which is located  about 3.7 thousand km from Iran, the media noted.

As reported by Reuters, experts say Diego Garcia is ideally located for operations in the Middle East.

The missiles in question that could threaten the Fordo facility are the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator, designed specifically to destroy targets deep underground.

In October last year, a B-2 bomber, arriving directly from the US, carried out attacks in Yemen.

A few months ago, the United States transferred about  six B-2 bombers to the Diego Garcia base. Their goal was to deter Iran and Yemen. However, these planes have not yet participated in American attacks in Yemen - recalled"Haaretz".

A source in the US Defense Ministry, quoted on Saturday by the"Wall Street Journal" confirmed that the Pentagon is sending B-2 bombers to the Pacific from a base in Missouri.

The administration of US President Donald Trump is deploying the bombers in the right place in case they are needed."Moving the planes could also help put pressure on Iran," the newspaper said.

In recent days, the media have reported that another  strike group is to be sent to the Mediterranean Sea , led by the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford .

America's newest and most advanced aircraft carrier is scheduled to depart from Naval Base Norfolk in Virginia on Tuesday.

"Ford will deploy with her strike group, which includes Carrier Air Wing 8 and the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers Mitscher, Mahan and Bainbridge," Navy Times reported.

US officials have told the media that the deployment had been planned for a long time and was not a response to rising tensions in the Middle East.

Earlier, Pentagon officials also announced that an aircraft carrier strike group from the USS Nimitz from the South China Sea had been dispatched to the same area earlier than planned.

In the Arabian Sea is  USS Carl Vinson and its accompanying destroyers and guided missile cruisers.
