But perhaps the strongest trump card is the political coordination within the coalition - achieved with effort, but already turned into a diplomatic asset."We must learn from the mistakes of Minsk," insists British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, paying particular attention to the need for firm, enforceable guarantees in the agreements reached.
Against Trump, who comes to the negotiations with the reputation of a"deal president" and at times with the temptation of a "quick" victory, Brussels has a ready answer: nothing for Ukraine - without Ukraine. This must become the first rule of any political architecture in Alaska if Europe wants to guarantee not just a momentary truce, but lasting security and balance on the entire continent.
Will there still be a deal?
The prospect of a real breakthrough remains uncertain. Analysts agree that without the full participation of Europe and Ukraine, any agreement risks being short-lived and unstable. If transatlantic unity is preserved and the “Coalition of the Willing” remains firm, it is possible that the meeting will lead to a freeze on the front and the beginning of a longer-term security process. However, if the decisive talks are held solely between Washington and Moscow, the scenario of “peace” at someone else’s expense remains very real and extremely dangerous for the continent.
