Breaking news: The most critical milestone in the goal of a Terror-Free Turkey, which began with the call of Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli and progressed with the resolute steps of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, was surpassed today. The PKK terrorist organization, which announced its dissolution, laid down its weapons following a message from terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan. The group, consisting of 30 PKK members, 15 of whom were women, destroyed their weapons by throwing them into a large, flaming cauldron. The organization's complete disarmament process is expected to be completed by the end of September.

"COMMISSION WORKS ARE IN THE COMPLETE STAGE"

Parliamentary Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş announced that the work of the commission to be established regarding the goal of a terror-free Türkiye is nearing completion. Kurtulmuş noted that the process is progressing as planned.

STATEMENT FROM ÖMER ÇELİK

AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik made a statement following the PKK terrorist organization laying down its weapons.

A CRITICAL THRESHOLD HAS BEEN CROSSED IN ACHIEVEMENT OF THE GOAL OF A"TERRORISM-FREE Türkiye"

The first step in the process of destroying/surrendering the PKK's weapons, in line with the goal of a"Terror-Free Turkey," has been taken. With Mr. Devlet Bahçeli's historic call and the state will demonstrated by our President, the determination to turn a historic page to rid Turkey of the burden of terrorism is progressing stronger. Achieving the"Terror-Free Turkey" goal will ensure that our country is freed from the burden of terrorism and that our immediate region achieves the goal of a "terror-free zone." The DEM Party's visits and consultations between the parties, along with the sensitivity shown to achieve the process's goals, are contributing significantly. With the implementation of the Grand National Assembly's will to support the process, the contributions of all political parties in Parliament will be concrete. Under the instructions of our President, state institutions continue to conduct comprehensive efforts in all areas, particularly diplomacy, intelligence, and security, to achieve the goal of a"terror-free Turkey." Thanks to the unparalleled sacrifices of our esteemed martyrs and heroic veterans, all long-standing attacks against our country and national sovereignty have been thwarted. The ambitions of separatist terrorism against our country have been thwarted. Thanks to the unparalleled sacrifices made by our martyrs and heroic veterans, whom we always remember with mercy and gratitude, in defending our homeland, the principle of"One homeland, one nation, one state, one flag" has been preserved under all circumstances. At this stage, a critical threshold has been crossed for achieving the goal of a"terror-free Turkey." From now on, the process of dissolving the PKK with all its branches and illegal structures and burning/surrendering its weapons must be completed within a short time. To ensure that this process, which is being carried out as a state project by the will of our President, achieves its objectives, we remain vigilant against all provocations. The will that will disrupt the malignant political projects of those who use terrorism as a tool of"proxy wars" and approach our region with imperialist objectives is the will of a "terror-free Turkey," and its inspiration for the concept of a "terror-free region."

WEAPONS WILL BE BURNED

AHaber reporter Sinan Yılmaz reported that PKK terrorists planned to burn their weapons after surrendering them, and that a group of 30 people was mentioned.

On the other hand, it was reported that the first group to lay down their arms would include two so-called high-ranking PKK members from the leadership team.

MEMBERS OF THE PRESS IN SULEYMANIYE

Hundreds of journalists from the world press came to the city of Suleimani to cover the ceremony.

A GROUP OF 150 PEOPLE FROM Türkiye TRAVELED TO THE REGION

A group of approximately 150 people, including politicians, writers, representatives of non-governmental organizations and authors from Türkiye, went to Sulaymaniyah to watch the PKK's arms laying ceremony in Sulaymaniyah.

The group includes Democratic Regions Party (DBP) co-chairs Çiğdem Kılıçgün Uçar and Keskin Bayındır, as well as DEM Party Women's Assembly Spokesperson Halide Türkoğlu. It has been reported that some DEM party members of parliament will also be present at the ceremony.

The weapons the PKK members will leave behind include automatic, semi-automatic, fully automatic, and heavy machine guns. Among the 30-person group are two alleged group leaders, one of whom is a woman.

The group is also expected to issue a statement supporting the process for a terror-free Türkiye. The ceremony, to be held in Sulaymaniyah, will also be accompanied by a farewell ceremony in various locations across the region.

HOW WILL DISARMING HAPPEN?

The majority of attendees will be able to watch the ceremony from a second area equipped with giant screens. Only employees of two broadcasters agreed upon by both parties will be allowed into the first area, where the disarmament will take place.

The images of the ceremony will be available to the world by these two designated organizations after the ceremony is over.

A HISTORICAL STEP TOWARDS A TERROR-FREE Türkiye

Following a statement from İmralı during the "Terror-Free Turkey" process, the PKK is laying down its weapons after 47 years. Having been a virtual shackle on Türkiye's feet for years, the PKK is taking its most significant step today after dissolving itself.

As part of the Terror-Free Türkiye process, a group of PKK members will hold a ceremony in the Sulaymaniyah region of Northern Iraq where they will lay down their weapons. The ceremony, expected to be well-attended, will be open to viewers from two separate venues.

A small number of observers will be allowed to record impressions at the first site where members of the organization will lay down their weapons. For security reasons, these guests' phones and other technical equipment will not be allowed into the area.
