Former President Iván Duque was at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey this Sunday, July 13, the venue for the FIFA Club World Cup final between Chelsea and PSG.
During his time on the sporting scene, the former Colombian president held a brief meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, who was also present as host of the world tournament.
“It was a pleasure to be at the FIFA Club World Cup final and to be able to talk with Donald Trump,” wrote the former head of state in a post on his X account, which he accompanied with a photograph with Trump.
“A great friend of Colombia and who, during our government, supported us in the fight against narcoterrorism, the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the migration crisis, and the strengthening of investment and trade between Colombia and the United States,” he concluded his message.
