Michael Madsen had an acting career that spanned over 40 years and is best known for his roles in Quentin Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs", which in Swedish went under the title"The Reckless","Kill Bill" and "Rädda Willy".

He was found dead in his Malibu home on Thursday morning. His manager Ron Smith told NBC News that he had suffered cardiac arrest.

– Michael Madsen was one of Hollywood's most iconic actors, and he will be missed by many, says his manager.

Has been hunted by the police

Madsen has had a troubled past. In 2009, he was declared bankrupt, owing money to both Quentin Tarantino and Pierce Brosnan. He has previously been convicted of drunk driving and is suspected of assault. Ten years ago, Madsen was chased by the police because he had neglected to pay 3.6 million kronor in child support and then failed to appear in court.

Last September, Madsen filed for divorce from his wife DeAnna Madsen after 28 years of marriage.
