President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer after the announcement of next week's US-Russia summit, Sky News reports.
The Ukrainian leader said he was"grateful for the support" provided by the British prime minister.
He adds that the two nations agree on the danger posed by Moscow's plan to occupy much of eastern Ukraine as part of any peace deal.
"We need clear steps, maximum coordination with our partners. We appreciate the determination of Great Britain, the United States and all partners to end the war. We are actively working for constructive diplomacy and solutions that work. We have agreed on the following contacts," Zelensky said.
