The Kuwaiti representative of the Gulf Cooperation Council to the United Nations affirmed that the Israeli attack on the State of Qatar constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and targets regional security and stability.
The Gulf Cooperation Council's representative to the United Nations said in a speech during an emergency session to discuss the repercussions of the Israeli attack on the Qatari capital, Doha, that these actions are part of Israel's attempts to tamper with the security and destabilize the region.
He stressed that the Gulf Cooperation Council will not tolerate any infringement on the sovereignty or security of its member states, and that it fully supports Qatar in confronting the blatant aggression against it, ensuring the protection of its territory and citizens.
He also stressed that the security of the Gulf region is a red line, and that any recurrence of Israeli aggression will be confronted with a strong, unified stance.
He added that the Gulf Cooperation Council continues to closely monitor developments and will remain committed to cooperating with the international community to take the necessary measures to prevent any further escalation and preserve regional security and peace.
He stressed that Gulf solidarity represents a fundamental pillar in confronting any attempts to destabilize the region.
