Eight Palestinians were killed and others injured on Wednesday in Israeli shelling of civilians in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip, and northwest of Gaza City.
The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) quoted medical sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital as saying that three martyrs arrived at the hospital as a result of a group of citizens being targeted by a missile from an Israeli drone in the Al-Hakr area, south of Deir al-Balah.
She noted that Israeli drones targeted a group of citizens northwest of Gaza City, killing five and wounding others.
Medical sources in Gaza hospitals confirmed the deaths of 81 citizens since dawn today, including 45 in Gaza City.
Earlier today, Palestinian medical sources announced that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip had risen to 61,722, the majority of whom were children and women, since October 7, 2023. The death toll has also risen to 154,525, while a number of victims remain under the rubble, unable to be reached by ambulances and civil defense teams.
She noted that 123 martyrs and 437 wounded arrived at Gaza Strip hospitals over the past 24 hours, while the death toll and injuries since March 18, when the occupation violated the ceasefire agreement, has reached 10,201 martyrs and 42,484 wounded.
She explained that the number of aid victims who arrived at hospitals over the past 24 hours was 21, and the number of injuries was 185, bringing the total number of aid victims who arrived at hospitals to 1,859, and the number of injuries to 13,594.
Over the past 24 hours, Gaza Strip hospitals recorded eight deaths, including three children, due to starvation and malnutrition, bringing the total number of deaths to 235, including 106 children.
