There are 3,794,877 online applicants and 334,652 offline applicants. Payment will be made the day after application, and the expected payment amount is 754.5 billion won. Residents of special cities and metropolitan cities can use it within their respective cities, and residents of provincial regions can use it within their respective city or county.
By region, Sejong had the highest number of applicants, 9.13% (35,362 people) compared to the total number of applicants. The region with the lowest number of applicants compared to the total number of applicants was Jeonnam (127,074 people, 7.17%). In Seoul, 739,747 people (8.10%) completed the application.
The People's Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon is the first large-scale economic stimulus measure of the Lee Jae-myung administration, and provides a basic 150,000 won per person. The lower-income class and single-parent families will receive 300,000 won per person, and basic livelihood recipients will receive 400,000 won per person. Residents of non-metropolitan areas excluding Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi will receive 30,000 won, and residents of rural and fishing areas with declining populations will receive an additional 50,000 won.
The government will accept the first round of applications for the People's Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons online and offline for approximately eight weeks, from 9:00 AM on this day to 6:00 PM on September 12th.
From the 21st to the 25th of the first week of application, applications are accepted on a weekly basis based on the last digit of the year of birth. Those ending in 1 or 6 can apply on Monday, those ending in 2 or 7 on Tuesday, those ending in 3 or 8 on Wednesday, those ending in 4 or 9 on Thursday, and those ending in 5 or 0 on Friday. Only online applications are accepted on weekends.
Payment methods include credit/check cards, prepaid cards, and local gift certificates. The expiration date is November 30.
