Sirsky also announced after visiting the Pokrovsk front that the Ukrainian army is conducting a complex operation in Pokrovsk to kill and repel the enemy. The operation involves, among others, Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
"In the Pokrovsk-Mirnohrad agglomeration, our troops are repelling sustained pressure from large enemy forces, numbering in the thousands and persistently trying to infiltrate residential areas and cut off our supply routes. However, the cities are not besieged or blocked, and we are doing everything necessary to maintain logistics," the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
"A complex operation to destroy and expel the enemy from Pokrovsk continues. The main burden falls on the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular on drone operators and assault units. Also, on my instructions, combined groups of the Special Operations Forces, the Law Enforcement Service of the Ukrainian Army, the Security Service of Ukraine and other components of the Ukrainian defense forces, including the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, are operating in the city," Sirsky revealed.
Sirskis emphasized that in the current difficult circumstances, effective coordination between units and well-synchronized task execution are crucial.
